YOUNG Campaigns is a youth-led, grassroots organisation, campaigning for economic justice.
We are building a movement of young people who will do what it takes to build a society that works for everyone, not just big business. We are fighting for a present and a future that young people can look forward to. One with good health, good jobs and stable housing.
We plan to win this future by:
Building a large and unstoppable movement of young people who can put pressure on government and campaign for a fairer future.
We are building a large and united movement that can put targeted pressure on the government. To build power and change systems we need a movement of determined, inspired and skilled up young people taking collective action for our future. We are creating tools and opportunities, and building on and offline communities for young people from all backgrounds and to come together to lead campaigns for economic justice.
Creating a new common sense by making popular the solutions that match the scale of the problems faced by young people.
This means we are campaigning for big good ideas like raising the rate of Youth Allowance and Jobseeker and pushing for a jobs guarantee. By reshaping the terms of the debate we encourage diverse movements to stand alongside us and add their demands and vision to ours.
Supporting young people to re-engage with politics in order to win policies that advance economic and social justice.
We are calling out the people and corporations who have captured Australia’s political institutions and made it harder for young people to believe in and participate in democratic change. We are helping reinvigorate democracy by helping young people raise their voice for the things they care about, and see the value in engaging in democratic politics.
